You've been asked to include a UV curing system on a machine you are quoting or building. What now?
There are several considerations for integrating a UV curing system into an automated process:
The energy provided by the UV system needs to be compatible with the material being cured. Power, wavelength, and distance from light source to the substrate are all considerations.
The material being cured should be directly visible to the UV light source.
The amount of time available in the process for curing (line speed or cycle time) must be enough to adequately cure the material and keep up with the process throughput requirements.
